Study channel response of V/H/Circular antennas at different azimuth angles.

Real-World Applications

Polarization Diversity Reception: Phones/walkie-talkies have random orientations during use, cannot guarantee antenna alignment with base station polarization. Modern phones use dual-polarized antennas for polarization diversity, maintaining communication even when the phone is placed horizontally or upside down.

Experiment Steps

  1. Co-polarization: Max power when Tx/Rx polarizations are same
  2. Cross-polarization: Significant attenuation when Tx/Rx are orthogonal
